Archbold Welcomes Gastroenterologist Bashar Qumseya, M.D.

Archbold Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome gastroenterologist Bashar Qumseya, M.D., to the hospital’s medical staff.
Dr. Qumseya received his bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin and his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine at the University Centre in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Qumseya completed a residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. During his fellowship, Dr. Qumseya also received his masters in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston.
Dr. Qumseya is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
As a board certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Qumseya is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the digestive system including irritable bowel disease, GERD, hepatitis, diverticulitis and gastrointestinal cancer.
“I’m excited to practice in Thomasville and be a part of the Archbold team,” said Dr. Qumseya. “I look forward to providing patients in Thomas and surrounding counties the quality care that they have come to expect.”
Dr. Qumseya joins gastroenterologist Peter Ojuro, DO, at the new Archbold Gastroenterology Group practice located at 2621 E. Pinetree Boulevard in Thomasville. The practice is now accepting new patients and accepts Medicare and most private insurances.
