Debbie Beeson
My name is Debbie Beeson and as of June 1, 2009 I will be a three year breast cancer survivor. I had a mastectomy at Archbold, followed by chemotherapy at the Oncology center in Thomasville. The nursing staff at the Oncology center is an incredible group of individuals as they remain cheerful and positive and are so supportive in their patient care. To say that breast cancer has been a blessing to me sounds very strange to some but it allows you to take a step back and realize the beauty of each day. I am grateful for my overall experience and to all of the personnel at the Oncology center for their continuing care to all in our community.
One of the many benefits is the start of our women's support group for all women cancer survivors. We meet the second Wednesday of each month in the community room at Archbold's Integrative Medical Center on Pinetree Blvd. We meet from ll:30 to l:00 for lunch and to provide support to each other and to learn from area speakers about various cancer related topics.
