Friday, January 20, 2012
Are weight loss and improving your overall health among your new year resolutions this year?
There are many reasons that people will make and break their weight loss resolution—lack of nutrition and exercise knowledge, the absence of an essential, strong support system or just not knowing even how to begin.
The Archbold Bariatric Weight Loss Program offers the most comprehensive, individualized range of weight loss services available in the region, including a weight loss surgery component, commonly referred to as Lap-Band® or bariatric surgery.
Archbold’s unique, comprehensive program is designed to help patients achieve their weight loss goals, improve their overall health and enhance their quality of life. The Program’s nutritional components and unique support system help patients stay positive, focused and motivated.
As part of Archbold Memorial Hospital’s continuing Health Talk free community lecture series, general surgeon John J. Cascone MD, will present, “The Archbold Bariatric Weight Loss Program, featuring Lap-Band® Surgery” on Thursday, January 26, 2012.
Dr. Cascone will discuss obesity related health conditions and medical weight loss options available to help patients achieve their health goals—including Lap-Band surgery. Cascone will discuss weight loss surgery, the medical criteria essential for a patient to qualify for surgery and the strong support system available to patients before and after the procedure.
Dr. Cascone is board certified in general surgery and performs Lap-Band surgery at Archbold Memorial Hospital. To learn more about weight loss options, including Lap-Band surgery, please attend this Health Talk. The lecture will begin at 6 p.m. and be held in Williams Auditorium at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Lunch will be served. Pre-registration is requested; call 229-227-5140 or visit www.archbold.org.
