Archbold Auxiliary is Looking for New Members

Since Archbold Memorial opened in 1925, an active group of interested area citizens has supported and assisted the hospital.

The Archbold Auxiliary is a group of men, women and youth serving in many areas of the hospital. Throughout the year, volunteers support families in the surgery waiting area, greet visitors at the Information Desk, support departments throughout the hospital, and fulfill many other important roles. Volunteer opportunities exist for Archbold Auxiliary members at multiple Archbold locations throughout the region.

“The Archbold Auxiliary is an extension of care for Archbold’s patients and their families,” said Bonnie Hayes, Director of Volunteer Services at Archbold. “Not only is this an opportunity to support our community, but being an Auxiliary member is a great opportunity to meet new friends and be a part of a thriving team.”

In addition to supporting patients and visitors, the Archbold Auxiliary also raises funds for special projects, including the scholarship fund and special purchases for Archbold.

“We strongly believe in contributing to the betterment of our facilities,” said Pat Jones, President of the Archbold Auxiliary. “In the past, we have raised money for the John B. and Elizabeth V. Wight Inpatient Hospice Center and helped fund 3D breast mammography. We also award scholarships to local students preparing for a healthcare career.”
