New Maternity Center at Archbold Memorial Welcomes First Baby

Archbold Memorial welcomed the first baby born in our new Maternity Center last week.
The dedicated team in the new Maternity Center prepared a special welcome basket, including a thoughtful assortment of gifts for both mother and baby boy, including snacks, toys, an Archbold Centennial tote bag and blanket, and more.
"It was an honor to present a token of care and celebration to a truly remarkable family as they begin this joyous journey," said Katrina Herrera, RN, RNC-MNN, nurse manager in the Mother/Baby Unit. "This gesture reflects the immense pride we take in caring for families during such a significant moment."
Housed on the hospital's second floor, the new Maternity Center features more space, increasing in size from 11,000 to 27,500 square feet. The Maternity Center features an abundance of amenities carefully designed to enhance the labor and delivery experience.
The Mother/Baby Unit opened this May, and the Labor & Delivery Department is now also officially open and serving families.
Archbold thanks those who supported the Archbold Foundation's Centennial Campaign, which made the new Maternity Center a reality for our community.
