Archbold Invests in Care with Increased Nursing Pay Rates

Archbold is pleased to announce it is increasing pay rates for nursing staff at several facilities around the region following a comprehensive market review. The increases will affect RN, LPN, and CNA roles at Archbold Living facilities and Med/Surg nursing roles at Archbold Memorial in Thomasville.

“Our goal is to ensure Archbold’s pay practices remain competitive, support retention of our valued team members, and strengthen our ability to staff safely and consistently,” shared Amy Griffin, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Archbold. “When our team feels supported in the critical work they do, it benefits everyone involved—patients, fellow team members, and our community as a whole.”

The market adjustments are part of a larger effort at Archbold to support stability and teamwork across the organization, while limiting reliance on agency staffing. This effort also includes adjusted rates for PRN roles throughout the Archbold system.

“We believe this investment in our team members is essential to delivering the high-quality care our patients and communities expect, while also creating a more sustainable work environment for everyone,” said Darcy Craven, Archbold President and CEO.

The increases in pay are just one element of Archbold’s commitment to educating, hiring, and retaining the best nurses. Other financial incentives include signing bonuses for new hires, recruitment incentives for referrals by current team members, and up to 100% tuition reimbursement for new nursing graduates. Archbold’s Nurse Extern Program and Nursing Residency Pathway allow nursing students and new graduates to gain hands-on training while transitioning into full-time clinical practice. These programs ensure nurses aren’t just prepared clinically, but also emphasize leadership, professional roles, nursing-sensitive indicators and patient outcomes.

Like all Archbold employees, nurses at Archbold facilities enjoy a positive work-life balance, competitive retirement plans, low-cost prescriptions at employee pharmacies and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. Archbold is also proud to be certified by Great Place to Work, an honor awarded based entirely on the reviews of current employees.
