Archbold Urologists to Share Urological Advancements at Health Talk

Archbold Urology is committed to offering patients in our region access to the most advanced treatments for urologic conditions that affect many of our neighbors. In recent years, Archbold has introduced several minimally invasive and cutting-edge treatments that have transformed urological care in Southwest Georgia.

“Some of the topics and concerns we discuss most frequently with patients are enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction and permanent birth control options,” shared Archbold Urologist Jason Burnette, MD, PhD. “Treatment options for each of these have seen significant advancement in just a few years.”

Burnette and fellow Archbold Urologists Eric Webb, MD, and Timothy Grayson, MD, will present a Health Talk on recent advancements in urological care offered at Archbold Urology. The talk, titled Innovations in Urology: Advanced Treatments Now Available Locally, will be held on March 24 at 6:00 p.m. The Health Talk will be held in the Williams Auditorium at Archbold Memorial, and dinner will be served to attendees.

“Our team was the first in the state to use the CVAC system to treat kidney stones and the first in South Georgia to treat enlarged prostates with HoLEP,” shared Webb. “While these may just sound like another acronym to most, we’ll explain each procedure and share how they are making a real difference in our patients’ lives at the talk.”

Archbold Urology’s consistent work to provide innovative care is being recognized on a national level. Healthgrades, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare reviews and data, has named Archbold one of “America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Prostate Surgery” for two consecutive years.

“For many of our patients, we offer solutions that they’ve been putting off—treatments for conditions that have quietly gotten worse with age and time,” said Grayson. “Attendees at the Health Talk will hear about real solutions that are available for many of these common conditions and could benefit you or a loved one.” To learn more about the Health Talk and RSVP, please visit www.archbold.org/HealthTalk.
