About Stephen

Archbold welcomed back family medicine physician Stephen Rubendall Jr, MD, in September 2021. Rubendall treated patients at Medical Group of Mitchell County for 14 years before relocating out of state. He re-joined the Archbold team at the same practice.

Rubendall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Valdosta State University. He went on to study at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he earned a medical degree. He completed a residency in family medicine at Self Regional Family Medicine in Greenwood, South Carolina.

“I’m excited to be back home in Camilla,” said Rubendall. “I look forward to getting back to caring for the people of this great community and hopefully seeing some of my former patients.”

Rubendall sees patients in Camilla alongside family medicine nurse practitioner Tina Lockhart, FNP-C. The practice provides primary care, which includes health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, patient education and treatment of acute and chronic diseases, and women’s healthcare needs.
