Archbold Memorial Named Among U.S. News & World Report 2026-2027 Best Hospitals for High Performance in Heart Attack

U.S. News & World Report named Archbold Memorial a “High Performer” in the treatment of heart attack in the publication’s 2026-2027 Best Hospitals list earlier this month.

Archbold Memorial was the only Georgia hospital located south of Macon to receive the “High Performer” recognition for heart attack.

According to U.S. News & World Report, a hospital’s heart attack score is based on data such as patient survival rates, recovery at home, number of patients treated and more. The publication’s research shows that hospitals that earn a high performing rating typically have better patient outcomes compared to other hospitals.

Archbold Memorial received excellent scores, the highest designation possible, in the specific targets of discharging patients directly home, rather than another facility, and enabling patients to live and recover at home. The hospital received better than average scores in patient survival and nurse communication.

In addition to the U.S. News recognition, Archbold Memorial is a Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Center​. Designated by the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), Office of Cardiac Care, the accreditation affirms that the facility has the equipment and personnel to provide fast and effective treatment for heart attack.
