Archbold and Brookwood School Partner to Support Student-Athletes

Archbold is now the official sports medicine provider for Brookwood Warriors athletics. Brookwood Athletic Trainer Taylor Mae Jones has joined the Archbold team and will continue supporting the health, safety, and recovery of Warriors student-athletes.

“Archbold has proudly supported athletes at Thomas County Central High School and Thomasville High School for several years,” said Brock Dockery, vice president of Archbold Medical Group. “We’re proud to expand our services to support the student-athletes at Brookwood.”

Archbold Orthopedics will now oversee the athletic trainer program for Archbold-affiliated schools, while Archbold Therapy & Sports Medicine will continue supporting student-athletes throughout the region with advanced testing capabilities, personalized treatment options, and an expert rehabilitation team.

“Brookwood strives to be the best school for student-athletes seeking personal growth through athletics, and we’re excited to partner with Archbold to support that mission for each student,” shared Brookwood Athletic Director Jenny Lauderdale. “When practice begins this summer, Archbold will be here to support Brookwood athletes with the high-quality care they need to compete safely and perform at their best.”

Brookwood School currently fields more than 40 teams in 13 sports, competing as a member of the Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA). More than 85% of Middle and Upper School students participate in athletics. In addition to the athletic trainer program, Archbold Orthopedics treats people of all ages for general pain and strains, arthritis, sports injuries, and fractures and offers robotic-assisted joint replacement. The practice is currently located at 505 Gordon Avenue in Thomasville. It will move into the state-of-the-art Archbold Multispecialty & Surgery Center on South Broad Street upon completion next spring.
