Archbold is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Palmer as the health system’s Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Palmer has approximately 17 years of Information Technology experience, including nearly 11 years with Archbold.
He joined the Archbold team in 2015 as a Network Engineer and Database Administrator and progressed into the Director of IS Infrastructure and Information Security Officer role in 2021. His experience spans enterprise infrastructure, network engineering, database administration, cybersecurity, information security, disaster recovery, and IT operations.
During his tenure at Archbold, Palmer has led several significant technology and security initiatives, including modernizing Archbold’s core technology infrastructure and advancing the organization toward current enterprise-class technologies. He directed the migration from on-premises Exchange to Microsoft 365, led the enterprise deployment of endpoint protection, strengthened the organization’s information security and risk management programs, and provided leadership across critical infrastructure and cybersecurity functions.
“Will brings significant experience and hands-on knowledge of the Archbold system to this role,” said Darcy Craven, Archbold President and CEO. “I am confident that his leadership will continue to position Archbold as a future-ready healthcare organization and provide our care teams with the tools they need to care for patients with accuracy and efficiency.”
