Archbold to Host Wave of Light Remembrance Ceremony
- Posted On:
Archbold will host a Wave of Light Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, October 15, beginning at 6:30pm on the front lawn.
The ceremony provides an opportunity for parents and families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss to gather in remembrance of their babies. The event recognizes losses resulting from miscarriage, fetal loss, stillbirth and infant death.
The Wave of Light is observed by families around the world as part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. During the ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to light a candle in memory of a baby they have lost. The candle lighting portion of the event will take place from 7pm to 8pm, creating a shared wave of light in remembrance of babies who are no longer with their families.
The ceremony is open to families regardless of when their loss occurred. Attendees may participate in the candle lighting ceremony or simply attend to reflect and remember.
Attendees may begin arriving at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 6:50 p.m., followed by candle lighting from 7:00–8:00 p.m.
