Patient Advocates
Patient Advocates are available to help you with non-medical problems,
special situations, needs or services, and interpretation of hospital
policies and procedures. If you have any questions or comments, please

Patient Representatives can:
- Assist patients with concerns, complaints and special situational needs
- Assist with preparation of Advanced Directives (medical power of attorney
for healthcare, not financial)
- Educate and advise on patient “Rights and Responsibilities”
- Assist with finding emotional and spiritual support while hospitalized
- Assist patients and families with facility policies for patients
- Provide access to the John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital Ethics Committee
- Share information on community-based on-call Volunteer Clergy Service
- Assist patients with utility services and extensions
- Guide navigating the healthcare delivery system when families aren’t
sure where to turn
- Provide central location for lost and found items
