Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. And according to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 229,410 new cases of lung cancer will be diagnosed nationwide in 2026, making it also one of the most common types of cancer.

In recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Archbold will host a health talk presented by general surgeon Dr. Ed Hall and pulmonologist, Dr. Christian Trujillo, titled, “Lung Cancer: Know Your Risk, Recognize the Signs and Take Action.”

Attendees will learn about how lung cancer may develop, what symptoms to watch for and when to seek medical evaluation. Dr. Hall and Dr. Trujillo will also discuss the role of early detection in identifying lung cancer and the importance of working with a healthcare provider to determine appropriate next steps when concerns arise.

Whether you have questions about your personal risk, want to learn more about lung health or are simply interested in becoming more informed, this health talk offers an opportunity to hear directly from Archbold physicians and gain a better understanding of lung cancer. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about steps they can take to be proactive about their health.

The health talk will take place Tuesday, November 10, at 6pm in Williams Auditorium. Dinner will be served to attendees.
