Camp H.E.A.L (Healing and Encouragement after Loss), is an annual day camp for children ages 6-12 who are dealing with the
death of a loved one. Camp H.E.A.L. is sponsored by
Archbold Hospice, with funding provided by the
Archbold Foundation.
The purpose of our camp is to offer an opportunity, outside of the home and school, for children to learn about and to discuss grief issues in a relaxed environment. Trained volunteers and licensed counselors will work with and supervise the children throughout the day. Art Therapy, crafts, hay ride and other recreational activities will be used to assist the children with their grief process. At the close of camp, a special memorial activity will be conducted. Meals are provided.
All campers must pre-register by the registration deadlines.
For more information, please contact Linda Conti, Bereavement Coordinator and Camp H.E.A.L. Chair at 229-584-5505 or lconti@archbold.org.
