Our Inpatient Hospice Services
Located in Thomasville, Georgia, Archbold’s John B. and Elizabeth
V. Wight Inpatient Hospice Center offers a wide range of services tailored
to meet the unique needs of each individual and their family. Our team
is committed to providing holistic care that focuses on physical comfort,
emotional support, and spiritual well-being.
We offer the following inpatient hospice services:
Pain and Symptom Management: We prioritize ensuring our patients are free from pain and discomfort.
Our skilled team of hospice providers specializes in managing symptoms
associated with end-of-life illnesses. We work closely with patients,
their families, and their primary care providers to develop personalized
care plans that address pain, shortness of breath, nausea, and other distressing symptoms.
24/7 Nursing Care: Our highly trained hospice nursing staff is available around-the-clock
to attend to the needs of our patients. They provide expert medical care,
medication administration, and assist with daily activities, ensuring
your loved one is comfortable and cared for at all times.
Respite Care: Taking care of a loved one can be rewarding, but it can also be physically
and emotionally demanding. We understand the importance of self-care and
the new for caregivers to have some time to rest and recharge. Archbold’s
Inpatient Hospice program offers temporary relief and support for family
caregivers, giving them peace of mind knowing that their loved ones will
receive the same level of attention and quality care that we provide to
all of our patients. Our program currently offers up to 5 consecutive
days of respite care and it is covered by most insurance plans.
Emotional and Spiritual Support: We understand the emotional and spiritual challenges that patients and
their families face during the end-of-life journey. Our interdisciplinary
team of social workers, counselors, and chaplains provide compassionate
support, counseling, and spiritual guidance to help individuals and families
navigate this difficult time.
Family Support and Bereavement Services: We recognize that the entire family is affected by the end-of-life journey.
We provide ongoing support and counseling to family members, helping them
cope with grief and loss. Our bereavement services continue even after
the patient's passing, offering the support you need through support groups,
counseling, and educational resources.
Comfortable and Peaceful Environment: Our facility is designed to provide a tranquil and comforting environment
for our patients and their families. We offer spacious private rooms with
beautiful views, comfortable furnishings, and serene surroundings so you
can focus on spending quality time with your loved ones in a peaceful
environment.
Coordination of Care: We communicate and share information with the patient's existing healthcare
team to ensure continuity and consistency in treatment. Our hospice team
collaborates closely with patients' primary care providers, specialists,
and community resources to ensure seamless coordination of care for your
loved one.
