Parkinson's Treatment

Archbold Therapy locations offer specialized treatment of Parkinson’s disease through speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy.

SPEAK OUT!® Therapy is an evidence-based speech therapy program designed to help individuals with Parkinson's disease and related neurological disorders regain and retain their speech and swallowing abilities. Up to 90% of people with Parkinson's experience a softer voice, slurred speech, or swallowing difficulties. This specialized protocol addresses these challenges directly by teaching patients to transition speech from an automatic brain function to an intentional act. SPEAK OUT!® Therapy is offered at Archbold Therapy-Quitman in Brooks County.

LSVT LOUD is an intensive, evidence-based speech therapy program primarily designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions improve their vocal volume and communication clarity. The program trains the brain to “think loud,” addressing common Parkinson’s symptoms that cause individuals to speak softly, monotone, or with a raspy voice, often without realizing how quiet they have become. LVST Loud is offered at Archbold Therapy & Sports Medicine in Thomasville.

Archbold is also proud to offer specialized Physical and Occupational Therapy programs to patients with Parkinson’s disease. Click here to learn more.
