Aquablation

Aquablation therapy is the first and only robotic-assisted, ultrasound-guided, heat-free waterjet treatment for BPH. By combining real-time ultrasound guidance with cystoscopy, the system offers a multi-dimensional view of the prostate, allowing for personalized treatment tailored to each patient's anatomy.

The HYDROS Robotic System is the next-generation, AI-powered platform for Aquablation therapy. The system is designed to deliver an accurate and consistent treatment plan for better clinical outcomes.

What makes Aquablation therapy unique?

  1. Two kinds of imaging in the operating room allows your surgeon to see your entire prostate.
  2. Robotics and advanced computer software allows your surgeon to create a personalized treatment plan to precisely remove tissue.
  3. Heat-free waterjet allows your surgeon to safely remove tissue.

How does Aquablation work?

Aquablation therapy enables your surgeon to customize your procedure to your specific anatomy.

Aquablation therapy is the only BPH surgical procedure that integrates ultrasound imaging with a standard camera. With the help of ultrasound imaging, doctors can create a detailed plan for the procedure, outlining the areas of the prostate that need removal. The tissue within the marked area of the prostate may be removed, while the tissue outside of it may remain untouched.

Once our urologists create a surgical map, a robotic-assisted system follows the surgical plan and resects the targeted prostate tissue using a heat-free waterjet.

What are the results?

Studies have shown that patients who receive Aquablation therapy experience:

  • Two-times improvement in flow of urine
  • 99% of men preserve continence
  • 100% of men preserve erections
  • 89% of men preserve ejaculation
